When life hands you limonene, you make clean hand sanitizer… right?

Well, at least that’s what we do! We know you want to know about your hand sanitizer ingredients and we believe transparency is super important! OLIKA’s hand sanitizer natural ingredients are effective and clean because we want only the best for our hands & yours.

Meet Limonene, our not-so-secret weapon in our hydrating hand sanitizer core formula:

What the heck is limonene?

Limonene is the major component in the oil of citrus fruit peels. It’s a compound naturally found in, yup, you guessed it lemons — in all citrus fruits to be exact. Limonene (named for its French name limon) boasts a light, fresh, sweet citrus scent, and is used as a fragrance in cosmetics and personal care products, as well as added to foods to enhance flavor.

What are the benefits?

Limonene has been known to reduce inflammation and also has antioxidant properties.

Is there anything I should know?

Limonene is safe for skin application but can be a skin irritant for a small amount of people. It’s recommended to be used by anyone who does not have a known limonene sensitivity.
